What is Agricoat Restore?
Agricoat Restore is a four-step DIY system for restoring the appearance of faded paint, plastic and rubber. The pack includes the cleaning, preparation and restoration products used in the process. It helps equipment look better maintained.
Is it paint, clear coat or a silicone dressing?
No. Agricoat Restore revives the appearance of the existing surface rather than covering it with new paint. It is not paint, clear coat or a silicone-based dressing.
What surfaces can I use it on?
You can use it on suitable faded painted surfaces, plastic and rubber on machinery and equipment. If you are unsure about a particular finish or component, contact Agricoat before applying it.
What must I avoid?
Do not apply it to glass, windscreens, mirrors or fabrics. Follow the application instructions and avoid unsuitable surfaces and components. If it accidentally contacts glass, wipe it off immediately.
Can I do it myself?
Yes. The system is designed for DIY use without specialist restoration training. Follow all four steps, use suitable application equipment and observe the safety instructions.
How long does the process take?
Allow approximately 1½–2 hours for a medium-sized tractor or TLB. The actual time depends on the equipment’s size, condition and preparation required.
How long can the results last?
Results can last up to 24 months. How long the finish lasts depends on the surface condition, preparation, application, exposure and maintenance.
Do I need to use all the preparation products?
Yes. Proper cleaning and preparation are essential. Skipping these steps can affect the finish and durability.
Is everything included?
All four products and application instructions are included. You will need a spray gun, which is not supplied, together with suitable cleaning equipment and protective equipment.
How much equipment will one pack cover?
The 1 × Tractor Pack covers approximately one medium-sized tractor or TLB. Larger packs provide quantities intended for approximately 3, 10 or 25 medium-sized machines. Coverage varies with equipment size, surface condition and application.
Does it wash off?
No. Once cured, Agricoat Restore does not wash off. Keep the treated equipment away from water for at least 24 hours after application to allow it to cure properly.
Does it attract dust like a silicone dressing?
No. Agricoat Restore is not silicone-based and does not attract dust like a silicone dressing.
Will it repair scratches, dents or missing paint?
No. Agricoat Restore improves the appearance of faded surfaces. It does not repair physical damage or replace missing paint.
Is it suitable for brand-new equipment?
Restore is intended for faded and weathered equipment. If your equipment is new, contact Agricoat for advice before purchasing.
How do I know whether my faded colour can be restored?
A water test can give an initial indication of whether the colour can be revived, but it does not guarantee the final result. Contact Agricoat for help checking your surface and carrying out the test before you apply the product.
Can I store unused product?
Keep containers sealed in a cool, dry place away from sunlight and heat. Use opened product within seven days and follow the storage instructions on each container.
Do you deliver across South Africa?
Yes. Agricoat Restore packs include nationwide delivery. Target delivery is 2–5 working days after payment confirmation, depending on your location. You’ll receive tracking information after dispatch.
Can I collect my order?
Yes. Collection is available in Pretoria. Choose collection at checkout and wait for confirmation that your order is ready before travelling.
